City Manager's Welcome
Welcome to the City of Worcester's Youth Opportunities Official Website. This website has been created as an online extension of the Youth Opportunities Office and is designed to be an important resource for parents, guardians, teachers, employers and most importantly, our youth. This site will keep you informed of youth employment opportunities and other items of special interest.
The City's Youth Opportunities Office was created in 2007 to provide leadership, support and advocacy for youth through the introduction of coordinated programs that are focused on positive youth development and youth employment.
Through the Youth Opportunities Office, the City has implemented myriad youth initiatives and has taken comprehensive youth assessment surveys to give local youth a chance to identify and give voice to the issues of the greatest importance to them. Not surprising, the number one issue in terms of importance to our youth is the need for jobs.
With youth rating a lack of employment opportunities as their most important issue, we as a community need to ensure that our youth have access to meaningful employment opportunities and are inspired toward positive goals. I believe that to ensure the brightest future for our City and its residents, we must help our youth to grow into healthy, educated and productive adults.
Thank you for visiting our Youth Opportunities Office Website. I encourage you to visit this site often for a breadth of useful information, job postings and important resources.
